Dhaka Polytechnic Institute is the oldest Polytechnic Institute in Bangladesh. Students Union
Students Union Library and Common room:Students Union (SU) of the Institute maintains
separate library equipped with books of general interest, such as novels, fictions, essays, religious books etc. Students are allowed to borrow them from the library, In addition there is a SU-common room where facilities for reading newspapers. magazines and playing indoor games are available.A library of well selected and up-to-date texts & references books maintained in the Institute. Current trade, industrial and educational journals are also available for use by students, staff and teachers. The library is kept open beyond institute hours to enable the students to study according to their conviences.
